Nashville's Barktoberfest 2016

We had a great time at this year's Barktoberfest in Franklin, TN. Nashville has a lot of wonderful community events for dog lovers and this is one of the best! They normally expect around 3000 to 11,000 people and their dogs! The weather was amazing and so many people had such creative costume ideas for their dogs.... They had a lot of great vendors, food trucks, and live music. I especially loved the agility demonstration and the barn full of kid and dog activity games.  But the main event was the costume contest. There was a long line of people and their dogs signed up to compete for gift baskets worth $200 or $300 or more. Our favorite costume was "the wolf and three little pigs" which consisted of a husky and three yorkies in a pig costume. Overall this was such a great event with friendly volunteers. We highly recommend attending next year's event, just make sure you come early for parking!
